Glenview Naval Air Station
Anonymous - © July 2009, 12
Somewhere in a folder I have my initial notes and sketches of my various experiences including the following. So, forgive me if I don't remember the exact date of the events in question. Suffice it to say the hypnotherapy sessions in question were sometime in the 1990s or early 2000s.
I had several hypnotherapy sessions with the same hypnotherapist a number of times. She is a licensed psychologist and very professional. I can vouch for her authenticity. Her professional opinion is that I am neither insane or delusional.
In one of my sessions I saw an object in front of me. At the time I believed that the object was some kind of device that I had seen while I was on a UFO. I was apprehensive about the object and felt strongly that I had gone toward it and possibly even inside of it. The object was black and shiny. The appearance was very similar to the way the hood of a black Cadillac would look if it were wet and in a dark garage but with just enough light from the outside to show some of the contours of the hood. A few days afterward I sketched this object from memory. I also made notes on the sketch of a strong sense of recognition and some strange words that I spoke out loud when I finished the sketch of the object. The words I wrote were the following:
"Destah dis sonakh thanakh"
I don't know what those words mean but I suspect they have something to do with my strong sense of recognizing the object.
Sometime after that session I had another session with the same hypnotherapist. Under hypnosis I saw that I was a child in a classroom. The class was being held in a strange building at night. There were several other small children in the classroom with me. In front of us was a guy in military uniform. He looked like he had just got out of bed. His hair was shaggy and uncombed. Next to him was a large easel with a flip chart on it. He was flipping the large pages and showing us pictures on them. One of the pictures was of elliptical concentric cirles that had dots at random places on them. Another appeared to be the floor plan of some kind of building. Standing by the door of the classroom was a woman. She didn't appear to be disturbed or surprised at the proceedings. She seemed to be associated with the night class as well.
Then I was in a different room. Some kind of small medical office. I was sitting on a large huge leather chair like they have in doctor's offices. It was black. There were huge armrests on either side of me where medical instruments were laid out. In front of me in the room were two individuals. One was a military guy -- tall with dark hair. He kind of looked like that actor who starred in that tv show, "Jag". Next to him was a very short guy who was in some kind of costume and wearing some kind of mask or makeup on his face. It seemed that everything was very quiet or something else not quite right. Then it was like something ended and suddenly the two men seemed to get very upset about something. The little guy was pacing and the tall guy was on the phone saying something like, "I know but what do you want me to do about it!" Something was not right but for some reason I thought that it was all hysterically funny. So I started laughing. I picked up one of the medical instruments off of the armrest next to me. The little guy angrily came and grabbed it away from me. Next the military guy got down to my level and he said to me something like, "See this man (pointing at the little guy). This man is your friend. Now, I want you to tell him what you told me. Tell him what you saw on the ship."
At this point the hypnotherapist interrupted me and asked me if I told them anything. I said that all I did was form my fingers like two eyes and I said, "Circles". Apparently this response pleased them. The military guy rustled my hair as if to say, "Good boy."
At this point the therapist brought me out of the hypnosis. I asked her if I could use her bathroom before I left to go home and she said okay. Apparently she had not brought me completely out of the hypnosis because while I was in the bathroom I was still seeing images in my head just like I was under hypnosis. I saw that I was a child of about 7 in our house in suburban Chicago. There were several guys in black trench coats in our living room with me. Another guy was leading my brother down the stairs and he was crying. All of the men talked like they were in a gangster movie. Real heavy New Yawk accents. One of the guys said to me, "Tell your brother it's okay!" I asked, "Can we get ice cream?" The guy said, "Sure, sure we can get ice cream." So I said to my brother, "See we can get ice cream!" So then my brother calmed down and then we were outside by a maroon station wagon parked in our driveway. They opened the back door (not the way back) and he said, "You'll be okay in here." There was already an older boy (about 9 or 10) in the back seat. His name was Tommy and he had a snaggle tooth. So we three all talked in the back seat. On the way I saw some street signs. One was a small street sign that said "Vinson Avenue" or something like that. Another was a green highway sign that clearly said "Northfield Park". In my mind I also see a maroon station wagon parked on a curved drive in front of a large building (very similar to what some hospitals have at their entrance for patients).
When I got home I resolved to try to find where the night class had been held. I thought I could possibly use the clues given me to find a possible route we may have taken. I believed that the Men In Black were the ones who took us to the building where the night class was held and that the building where the maroon station wagon parked was the building where the class was held. So I decided to see if I could find either Vinson Avenue or Northfield Park on a map of the Chicago area and see if I could trace the route taken from our house in Wood Dale to the classroom. I felt that the building was most likely on a military base. I couldn't find anything like Vinson Avenue so I decided to look for Northfield Park. I found it. It is a real place. It's an actual park right off of I-94 in the suburb of Northfield. Not too far away from that was Glenview Naval Air Station (now a closed base and all commercial and residential). I wondered if maybe Vinson Avenue was somewhere on the base and if the school might have been there as well. I only had a general map of the area which showed a simple plane symbol for the base. I decided to find a more detailed map of the area. I happen to have a Chicagoland atlas. I found the map showing Glenview Naval Air Station and got the shock of my life. The layout of the airfield was exactly the same as the sketch of the 'device' I had seen in a previous regression. Apparently my view of the airfield was at night and what appeared to be black and shiny was the wet tarmac reflected in the runway lights as I was apparently on some craft which flew over the airfield.
There were some slight differences to my sketch and the current (1990s) map of the airfield in the Chicagoland atlas. There were some circular areas which appear in my sketch. But they were not present on the map I had of the base. I presumed that perhaps I had seen some kind of hangars at the airfield and they appeared to be circular like that. In recent years I have found older aerial photos of the base and the circles were most definitely there in the past. Some kind of circuits on the runway that were part of the layout of the airfield for years until they were done away with in later years.
I also have vague memories of sitting in some kind of snack bar with vending machines and little round tables. A military guy is sitting next to me. I'm looking up at him. He doesn't look like he is very happy having to babysit me. ;-)
I don't know what significance Glenview NAS has to my experiences or why the layout of the airfield is so strong in my mind or why I have a strong feeling that I had gone toward the airfield and even inside of it. Is it possible that as a small child I was on a craft that landed at the airfield and possibly even went into some underground hangar there? I honestly don't know.
