haunting memories of never knowing what i saw on the church stairs

Anonymous - © 2009, 3

It's not something I would have been open to talking about before..
when I was eleven I ran away from home with my cousin. We made it as far as the fourth street church where I stood on the stairs admiring the view of Downtown Duluth lights and Canal Park when I saw it in the sky! It had come close enough for me to see the whole thing! Trembling at the sight I was trying to get the attention of my cousin who was looking for ciggerette butts on the side walk . I yelled for her(I didnt want to take my eyes off of it) and kept yelling until she stompd up on the church stairs and yelled ''what?!' I told her to look in the direction my finger pointing. At first she didnt see it but, when she finally did we both kinda clung to each other whimpering. I managed to ask if she saw it, and she cried ''yes!'' It was really close but there were no flames. It had some sort of strange lighting. The more odd things about it was I couldnt make out what it was made of. It moved strangely like it seemd to kinda float or flutter and the color of it in the night sky almost seemed to blend in.
I honestly dont remember what happend after that. All I remember is the police catching us and being returned home. Never have told anyone before because I didnt exactly live a charmed life..who would believe me? My cousin went on with her life and pretends it never happened accept the last time I asked her if she rememberd. I think it haunts her till this very day also.
Anyway since then iv had some pretty strange things happen in my life that I just cant explain but since other people were always around to witness I maybe felt a little more inclined to sharing.
