Alpha and Omega - Part 6

One day moved into another in that fashion, with little change. On occasion Adam was summoned by God to another area of what he informed them was called Eden. The first time this happened Eve was also summoned. The area was large, and bright. Eve learned as time went on that the walls were white. Inside the room were large tanks. It looked as though they were filled with a milky fluid, and there were shapes inside as well. Some of them seemed to move.

Eve did not like the room. Something about it frightened her. But God directed Adam to make adjustments to equipment there, and that first day Eve was captivated by a flashing button on one of the machines. Without any consideration of what effect it might have she reached towards it and pressed it. Immediately a loud noise filled the room. Eve had no way of knowing that she had triggered an alarm, or even what an alarm was.

But God's voice was angry when it spoke abruptly to her, "Don't move! And don't touch a thing!" He quickly gave Adam instructions on how to rectify the situation and turn off the alarm.

After that time God suggested Eve watch more video books and learn more about Eden before she entered that room. And she tried, but most of the books bored her. For the most part they were dry, full of scientific terms and mechanical drawings. The only ones that interested her were those full of bright colors and pretty pictures. She was however; enchanted by music and enthralled by old movies.
