By Sandy Nichols

Oh, I have slipped this inner peace of ours
Which we so deeply shared,
And brought upon a realm of disbelief
That I so foolishly may not care

I have shattered dreams of future hopes
That lay in silent minds,
And broken the spirit of the two us
That dwell in present time

I have blocked the path of love
That was leading to our door,
And set the hands of fate in motion
To tumble and to twirl

I have lost my grip on things I held
Now loneliness comes to light,
For what I did I could not see
For blindness was my sight
